ICYMI: Messer Joins Fox and Friends, Fox Business After Nominating President Trump for Nobel Prize
U.S. Rep. Luke Messer (IN-06) joined Fox and Friends Thursday morning and Fox Business Network Wednesday evening after nominating President Trump for the 2019 Nobel Peace Prize.
“I think President Trump is showing that peace through strength is working,” Messer told Fox and Friends’ Steve Doocy. “The only reason that the evil dictator from North Korea is coming to the table is because this President has stared him down…I do believe President Trump deserves the Nobel Peace Prize.”
Messer also discussed his decision to nominate President Trump with Fox Business Network’s Charles Payne on Wednesday evening.
“President Trump’s leadership is working,” Messer said to Payne. “Could you imagine how the Left would be reacting right now if these events in North and South Korea were happening under President’s Obama’s leadership? They would be melting with joy.”
Messer also talked about the growing U.S. economy under President Trump.
“Now we’re seeing a growing economy where not only workers are doing better but the small business owners who create those jobs are doing better,” Messer said. “President Trump came to office making a promise to get our economy going again and to unfreeze paychecks…we’re watching him keep those promises.”
