WASHINGTON, D.C. (Friday, Feb. 9, 2018) — U.S. Rep. Luke Messer (IN-06) today wished Lawrenceburg’s Nick Goepper luck as the Opening Ceremonies officially kicked off the 2018 Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, South Korea.

“We are extremely proud that Lawrenceburg’s own Nick Goepper will be representing Indiana and the United States in the 2018 Olympics,” Messer said. “In 2014, he proved he could compete with the best athletes in the world and I’m confident he can have even more success in PyeongChang.  Hoosiers will be rooting him on throughout the winter games and I wish him the very best luck!”

Goepper, 23, grew up honing his skills at Perfect North Slopes in Lawrenceburg. He competes in slopestyle skiing and earned a bronze medal at the 2014 Winter Games in Sochi, Russia.
