Congressman Luke Messer and Ball State University to announce Congressional Leadership Academy
(Washington, D.C.)— Congressman Luke Messer and Ball State University are set to announce the creation of the Congressional Leadership Academy for Indiana’s 6th District scholars. The announcement is planned for Friday, September 6 at a press conference on Ball State’s campus beginning at 8:00 a.m.
This one day event will connect successful and engaged high school juniors with CEOs, business leaders and other invited experts working in areas critical to Indiana’s economy.
The academy will recognize and reward civic engagement and scholastic excellence. Two students from each high school in the Sixth congressional district will be chosen to participate in the full-day event on Ball State’s campus.
Interactive experiences and panels will focus on advanced manufacturing, energy, emerging media, and life sciences. Students will interact with leaders from various Hoosier businesses and organizations including; Tech Point, Energy Systems Network, Hoosier Energy Council, Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, OrthoWorx, Hillenbrand, and Biocrossroads.
